Elevator Pitch No. 2

Reflection: I did not receive any comment feedback on my last elevator pitch, but I did try and utilize more of Professor Pryor's strategies in my second pitch to be less mechanical and more engaging. I added more of a grabber in the first part of the pitch by asking the listener about their own financial struggles, and then stated that most Americans face this issue, showing the listener that they are not alone and that there is a solution. I also added an "ask" at the end of the pitch to meet the listener at a different time for 30 minutes to go more in-depth into the product.

  1. Hi John! Great job! I like how you attempted to hook the audience by asking a rhetorical question. I would definitely keep your rhetorical question, but after you ask it I suggest you add in some statistics about Americans who struggle financially. Including numbers will help catch the audience even more and convince them that it is a prominent problem that needs to be solved. My only other suggestion is to try to say away from introducing yourself in the beginning and saying um. Rather than introducing yourself in the beginning, just jump right into the rhetorical question and the rest of your hook!

  2. Hi John. Great work on your pitch. I really liked the attention grabber that you used. I think it is the perfect way to start off your pitch. You were also very professional. However, like Prof. Pryor said in class, I would try to avoid introducing yourself in the beginning. But overall, you did a great job! It can be surprisingly difficult to your pitch 'just right'.
