Secret Sauce

My Thoughts:
I think my human capital consists of a few facets of my character that has helped me so far in school and life in general. I think my grades reflect my ability to work hard to achieve my goals, as well as my ability to prioritize assignments to achieve the highest point total for all my classes with the least amount of unnecessary stress. Also, I think my time management skills are relatively good, as I almost never turn in a project late and I recognize needing to start work on an assignment early if I think it will take a while to complete. Pertinent to my product, I think I have a fairly decent grasp on what people should do to invest their financial resources, but also as a child growing up during the recession I have seen firsthand what ill-preparedness can do to a family, and how difficult it can make life for them.

Interviews:

This first interview was with my roommate, one of my best friends from my hometown. He touches on my work ethic and how being an AP student has shaped my knowledge base.

My second interview was with another best friend from home, who I became friends with during high school. He highlights my math background as being valuable in starting a business, as he thinks I would be able to efficiently allocate company resources to expand in a sustainable manner.

This interview was with my other roommate, who is older and works at the Cancer Research Center. He thinks I have a diverse set of knowledge with my stem background and private interests, which he thinks will serve me well as an entrepreneur tackling varied problems in a business.

I also interviewed my final roommate, also a best friend from home who I met in high school and became close with. She highlights my understanding of finance and skills with dealing with people as traits that would assist me in the business world trying to organize a team to accomplish tasks.

5) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1O-XURNSYk&feature=youtu.be
My final interview was with my dad, which I completed over Skype with a recording software. He too highlighted my interpersonal skills, but added that my ability and desire to be a mediator between two people is a valuable trait in business to resolve employee conflict.

Reflection: I think the main difference between my assessment of my capital and that of my close friends and family is that I solely highlighted my work ethic and knowledge in school, which others did too, but also accounted for my ability to work well with others and resolve conflicts. I think I wouldn't need to edit the list I have too much, but I would probably add people skills to it.

  2. Hey John, I enjoyed reading and listening what others had to say about you! You can obviously be seen as a great, hardworking individual from your interviews. This definitely gives you an advantage compared to other individuals who do not have the same trait. Having a hardworking trait can be one of the most important traits for individuals.
